FAQ

I offer a free 15-20 minute initial consultation after which we will schedule our first in-person assessment session.

  • I currently see clients using Teletherapy, or have a full time telepractice as it’s otherwise known. This is the online delivery of therapy services via two-way video conferencing. Sessions are nearly identical to traditional therapy sessions save for one major exception. Instead of sitting together in the same room, clients and therapists interact via live video conferencing.

I do have a retreat space in Sonoma County California and currently that is my only in person location.

  • I believe in access in all forms.

Therapy should be available in many different formats and in different ways.

We can not all get to one location.

Commuting and Life can be as complex as our traffic patterns and some times having some flexibility really helps. While I love to see clients in person, I have found that this tool is another way to "meet people where they are" literally and figuratively. I use a secure HIPPA compliant platform and ensure all the regulations and guidelines are followed. If you are interested in this way of practicing.

  • This depends on several factors.

I work with clients to design the frequency that makes sense for the type of work they are trying to do and is clinically sound. There is more frequency at the start so that we can get to know each other and have a strong relational container to do your work in.

For Relationships I see clients for 70 min to 80 min sessions. We do this work usually every other week with clients committing to the same amount of time between sessions to also do their work.

For individuals I usually do 50min to 70 min sessions depending on the type of work we are doing.

I have also hold intensives- which is more time up front and less time spread out.

Again we co create what works and makes sense based on what you are trying to do.

In general I see the first 4-5 sessions as an assessment period and at that time we would check in and create a clear plan together or decide this is not a good match and need to refer to other therapist. I deeply desire for clients to find the right fit for them and I also want to find the clients that I can support the best.

  • I do not take insurance. I do work with clients to provide information for a superbill or use their flexible spending accounts.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

  • My fee for sessions are

    $185 for 50 min session

$260 for EMDR & relationship sessions for 70 min session

I do have a few sliding scale spots in my practice and these are currently full

I am happy to chat more about fees and work with clients around life’s ebbs and flows.
